About
Dr Philip Pastides is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in complex knee surgery, trauma and paediatric orthopaedics. He is the founder and CEO of Limassol Orthopaedic Centre in Cyprus, and also holds a role as Locum Consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London.
His knee work covers soft-tissue procedures, knee preservation, primary arthroplasty, and complex revision and salvage procedures. In paediatric orthopaedics he manages conditions such as intoeing, bowed legs, knock knees and childhood fractures. His trauma experience was shaped at major trauma centres including St Mary's and Charing Cross hospitals.
His approach is patient-specific: "Treating the patient, not just the X-ray." Born in London to two surgeon parents, he moved to Cyprus at the age of six and returned to the UK to study medicine.
